Sunday Worship

Join us at Buck Creek Baptist Church in Longs for our Sunday Worship services, where the community comes together in a celebration of faith and fellowship. Every Sunday at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, we gather to enjoy a blend of contemporary and traditional worship music, heartfelt prayers, and inspiring sermons that speak to the heart and soul. Our services are designed to uplift, inspire, and bring closer to God those who attend, offering a spiritual sanctuary to reflect, pray, and connect with the divine.

Whether you're a long-time member of the Longs community or visiting for the first time, you're welcomed into a loving, supportive environment. Through our worship, we seek to create moments of deep spiritual connection and offer guidance and inspiration for the week ahead.

Youth & Children's Ministry

We are a children’s and youth ministry passionate about helping kids and students grow as disciples of Jesus Christ while developing a heart for missions and service.
Through Bible teaching, prayer, worship, fellowship, and hands-on ministry opportunities, we encourage children to know God, love others, and boldly share the Gospel in their everyday lives.
Our goal is to raise a generation of young believers who are grounded in faith, confident in who God created them to be, and ready to make an impact wherever He leads them.
We strive to create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment where every child and student feels loved, encouraged, and supported.

Our ministry believes faith should be lived out through action. Throughout the year, our children and youth participate in a variety of mission projects and community outreach opportunities.
They have collected items to create Easter baskets for homebound community members, prepared and served lunch to local fire departments, and provided snacks for first responders.
Students have also incorporated sign language and interpretive movement into worship services as a way to use their gifts to glorify God.
In addition to missions and service, students enjoy building friendships through fun activities, fellowship events, worship nights, and special gatherings throughout the year.
Whether your child is new to church or has grown up in church, there is a place for them here.

Mission Friends: Preschool – Kindergarten
Children in Action (CA): 1st – 6th Grade
Youth on Mission: 7th – 12th Grade
Visitors and new families are always welcome!

Community Outreach

Buck Creek is involved in Local, State, and National missions through its men's and woman's missionary organizations.
Locally...feeding the Lifeguards, feeding the community shelter home, providing gift cards to summer missionaries, making health kits, providing for shut-ins with care needs, inmate care packets.
Each Tuesday, we offer a food pantry and clothes closet, serving nearly 100 families.

Nationally... July of each year, we participate in a multi-church mission in Eastern Kentucky where we provide all the necessities for the children to be prepared to return to school in the Fall.
This event is set up much like a fair or carnival event while each area teaches something different about Jesus Christ.

Bible Study Groups

First Steps... a one-on-one 10-week study for new and renewed Christians that will maximize one's chance of reaching maturity in Jesus Christ.

MasterLife... four six-week in-depth studies, "developing a personal, lifelong, obedient relationship with Jesus Christ in which He transforms your character into Christlikeness; changes your values into Kingdom values; and involves you in His mission in the home, church, and the world."

Prayer Gatherings

Each Wednesday night at 7:00pm, we hold a small group prayer meeting featuring bible lessons. Throughout this evening, we sing a few hymns, listen to a brief devotional/bible study, and dedicate our time to praying for the needs of our family, friends, and community, bringing each name before the Father.
